NORTHERN SPAIN - PART II

Spain

After leaving Aragon we drove all the way to The Basque Country.
It was still a long drive, so we stopped by on the way to stretch our legs and take a walk. This is how we got to meet this nice forest with a mystical river. I can't really tell you the name of this place because we just ended up there on our way. I guess that's the cool thing about road trips, isn't it? To feel free to stop at any place that calls you attention while you are on your way to the next location. We've met such nice random places like this in all of our road trips so far.
After getting back on the road, we drove all the way to San Sebastián, where we spent a couple of nights in a B&B located at the old part of the city. We had some nice walks and great food. In one of our nightly walks along the beach, we met a group of lost backpackers that had the funniest map drawn by a lady who was trying to explain how they could reach the correct hostel that they were looking for. They were so funny! One of the girls had the most shrill voice I have ever heard and she was making fun of one of them who said that had never been in The Netherlands, only in Amsterdam. I wish that I had taken a picture of the group and the "map" they had to show you now. Me and David spent the rest of our way back to the B&B laughing from that experience and it still brings a smile to our faces every time we remember that episode.
At the end of our second day, the weather was not as inviting to take big walks so we spent a couple of hours admiring the fishes in the city's aquarium. It was a nice time spent there.
After this, we continued our journey and went to what I personally found to be the best part of this trip. Stay tuned for the next post if you want to see where we were headed to!
